B.M.B. Athletics
Speed training website that converts athletes and parents
TL;DR
We redesigned the digital presence for a speed training coach whose reputation far outpaced his website. The problem wasn't aesthetics — it was clarity. We rebuilt the site around a single outcome — getting faster — and moved video testimonials to the front, turning skeptical browsers into engaged prospects.
BMB Athletics needed more than a website refresh
BMB Athletics is a speed training coach with a proven track record of helping football athletes unlock their performance potential. Despite strong community reputation and results-driven coaching, their digital presence wasn't matching their real-world impact.
We partnered with them in September 2024 to create a website that would capture new athletes while showcasing their expertise.
Athletes couldn't understand what they'd actually get
The existing site buried program details under generic fitness jargon. Parents and athletes were bouncing because they couldn't quickly grasp what training looked like, how long it took, or what specific improvements they'd see.
The real problem wasn't aesthetics — it was clarity. Visitors needed to instantly understand the value proposition and see proof it worked.
We positioned speed gains as the primary outcome
Instead of generic "athletic performance" messaging, we centered everything around getting faster and more explosive. Bold CTAs like "Get Faster" replaced weak phrases like "Learn More."
We created dedicated sections that broke down exactly what athletes receive: personalized plans, expert coaching, and measurable speed improvements. We scoped out complex fitness terminology that confused parents, multiple program tiers that created decision paralysis, and generic stock photos that didn't show real training.
We designed a clean program breakdown section that appealed to both decision-makers. Parents needed to understand the investment and timeline, while athletes wanted to see the training intensity. Stat callouts like "50% faster, 50% stronger" established credibility without overwhelming the layout.
Video testimonials revealed the missing trust factor
The first version focused heavily on program details but lacked social proof. When we tested the homepage with sample visitors, they wanted to see real athletes who had succeeded with BMB's training. The stats were compelling, but they needed faces and stories to believe them.
We moved client video testimonials from a buried "About" section to prominent homepage placement. We embedded YouTube videos directly and created a dedicated "Success Stories" section that visitors encounter immediately after the main CTA. This shift turned skeptical browsers into engaged prospects.
The site now drives inquiry and builds ongoing relationships
Parents and athletes can immediately understand BMB's training approach and see proof it works. The clean program breakdown removes confusion, while video testimonials build trust.
We also added a blog section for training tips, transforming the site from a static brochure into a content hub athletes return to.
Reflection
What this project taught us.
This project reinforced that clarity beats cleverness every time, especially when parents are the decision-makers.
Video testimonials convert better than written case studies for athletic training. Program breakdowns need to speak to both athletes and parents simultaneously.
Bold, action-oriented CTAs perform better than soft "Learn More" buttons. We should have tested testimonial placement earlier instead of burying it initially.
BMB wants to add an online booking system next — reducing the friction between "interested" and "booked" is the obvious next lever.
