Resolute LLC
Rebuilt from scratch after total data loss
TL;DR
Ari's consulting website crashed with no backup, no designer contact, and no content recovery path. We had three months to rebuild Resolute LLC's entire digital presence from nothing — while his lead generation was completely offline. The site launched with multiple contact paths, a custom background video, and a 100% usability test completion rate.
Ari's business website went completely offline with no backup plan
Ari launched Resolute LLC in 2020, offering business consulting services like project management and strategic planning. His original website crashed, and he couldn't reach his previous designer. Without access to hosting or backups, his lead generation completely stopped.
We had three months to rebuild everything from scratch while his business was bleeding potential clients.
The real problem wasn't technical — it was complete information loss
Most website redesigns start with existing content and analytics. We had neither. Using the Wayback Machine, we could only recover fragments of copy and basic service descriptions.
The deeper issue was that Ari had built his entire lead generation on a single point of failure. We needed to create a resilient system that wouldn't leave him stranded again.
We focused on lead generation first, then built around that core need
Everything centered on getting potential clients to contact Ari. We designed multiple contact paths throughout the site and created a dedicated careers section for talent acquisition. The background video showcases Resolute's expertise immediately upon arrival.
We scoped out complex service catalogs (clients need custom quotes anyway), e-commerce functionality (all sales happen through consultation), and blog or content marketing features — the focus was conversion, not traffic.
We conducted discovery interviews with Ari to understand his vision, then produced a one-minute silent background video that adapts to different devices. The site uses parallax scrolling to guide visitors through Resolute's services. We also modernized the logo by converting it to a clean vector, removing the dated gradient.
Two late-stage problems almost derailed the launch
Our first contact form iteration included lengthy fields with detailed project requirements. Users abandoned them halfway through. We simplified to required fields only, with optional details for qualified leads — reducing friction while still capturing what Ari needed for follow-up.
After moving the domain to our hosting platform, Ari's business emails stopped working entirely. The new platform used proprietary email systems that conflicted with his existing setup. We spent two days troubleshooting DNS configurations and testing across multiple email accounts to restore full functionality before launch.

What this project taught us.
The website launched with multiple lead generation paths and mobile optimization. We created a custom guidebook so Ari's team can update content independently.
Always secure multiple backup systems from day one. This project reinforced that a single point of failure in hosting is a business risk, not just a technical one.
Simple contact forms convert better than detailed qualification forms. DNS configurations need thorough testing across multiple email providers before any domain transfer.
Video backgrounds significantly increase time on site when optimized properly — but they require more QA than almost any other element on the page.
